He is outgoing by nature but is less brash and egotistical than his appearance would suggest. | Personal History | Jim was born as the middle son and third child of Mr. and Mrs. James Cunningham, prominent landowners and gentleman farmers of high-quality tobacco of Port Royal Tennessee near Clarksville, quintessential WASPS aside from being Catholic. The family was old money and raised their children accordingly. Jim was a "good kid" growing up, in general, and excelled at sports and, rather to the consternation of his parents JROTC in high school. After graduation, he remained local, attending Austin Peay State University in Clarksville and continuing into ROTC majoring in foreign languages and communications, a decision that would eventually change the entire trajectory of his life. With scholarship support, but not the blessing of his parents, Jim's tuition and housing were well covered, but he discovered bisexuality in college and began discretely dancing for Nashville Brolesque for extra cash, though he was smart enough to keep that quiet. In due course, he graduated, accepted his commission, and ended up in the Middle East, along with most other members of the military. As a language officer, he was usually safely inside the Green Zone in Baghdad, but a fateful day had him attached to a delegation visiting an important police facility afield that came under attack from DAESH. An Iraqi werewolf whom he had unknowingly befriended saved his life during the attack, but also accidentally turned him as well. Medically discharged from service, Jim had little choice but to return home, a 26-year-old new lycanthrope. It took him time to acclimate to his new reality, less being a werewolf and more having his entire life plan and career taken away, but fortunately one of the men he'd previously danced with had moved into managing and brought him back into performing. Nearly a decade later, Jim now owns Brolesque and lives in an expansive loft above Second Avenue near the club, is cordial with his family, and has settled into life as a reasonably successful business wolf. |
